The discovery of a teenage girls lifeless body has led to Murder charges being laid against her boyfriend.
20 year old Jordan Brodie Miller was arrested by NSW Police in the front yard of a home in Metford in the town of Maitland on Saturday where
they discovered the lifeless body of Emerald Wardle inside.
Neighbours who spoke to reporters stated they heard Miller screaming and “saying something about demons”. Miller, who still lives with his parents would undergo mental health tests.
Detective Inspector Ranald Urquhart told reporters “Miller was out in the front yard and there was a short scuffle prior to him being arrested.”
The relationship between Ms Wardle and Miller was in its early stages said Police as their investigation continues.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Approximately one in four women and one in thirteen men experience violence by an intimate partner in Australia.
“Police obviously take alleged domestic violence situations very seriously and I would ask people to report any incidents of domestic violence to the police,” Detective Inspector Urquhart
Miller who is currently in custody was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Sunday.
